I've been to their Burrard, Lougheed and Coquitlam location and the pictures that I will posting are from when I ate at their Coquitlam location.

The main I ordered was their Lobster Grilled Cheese -- atlantic lobster, brie and cheddar, with fries and cocktail sauce on the side. This is the more dressed up cousin of the grilled cheese sandwich. With the addition of brie, it is more creamy in texture, and the lobster chunks helps make the sandwich much more substantial. But I think with fries, there would be too much grease so instead of fries, I substitued it for their house salad with the dressing on the side. Of course I had to pay extra, but veggies is important in the diet, so it was worth it.

Because I always have to have dessert and I can never say no to chocolate cake, I ordered their Molten Lava Chocolate Souffle (my mouth is watering as I think about that cake).

This was soooooooooo good! The chocolate spilled out when I poked the spoon in and was it ever rich and warm! A spoonful of the souffle with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream -- I really want some now. And to top if all off, since the bf does not really like chocolate, I had the whole whole souffle to myself! I was a happy girl.
All in all, I enjoyed the food at Joey's, the ambiance is one of a more dark and intimate setting, well for you and whomever you are sitting with. The prices are comparable to other chains like Moxie's, Cactus and Earls. I would most definitely go back, actually I have already been back.

beautiful lovely Miranda,
ReplyDeleteHi you. I just found out in september that charlie sheen and emilio estevez (mighty ducks / spin city) are brothers :O I had no clue but I kept thinking why do these two people look so similar.... lol.
I hate calamari :( It's chewy and disgusting >< the lobster grilled cheese I will take anytime though. So is the chocolate souffle. Sharing is caring T_T Your bf doesn't like chocolate? I have 1 friend who hates it too. How could you not like chocolate?!?!?! Everybody likes chocolate!!
The deep fried butter stand and lady who made it was at CNE in August and my friend apparently really really liked it. Hehe I didn't go though because I'm just not into disgusting food. There's a lemon juice store on my school campus but it tastes like pure sugar :( Hopefully yours tasted better.
oh! While Im at it let me reply to your comment:
ReplyDeleteSome of my readers didn't like the pizza plate. They said pizza should only be eaten alone and it's "weird" to put other stuff with it... but I always eat pizza + other junk XD
You don't need to go to the U.S. to eat applebee's I was looking at the map and there are locations in Western Canada! So just search for it~~
I'm enjoying my part time job immensely :) It doesn't give me many work hours per week so I wish there were more.. but it's not stressful and I get along with my kids so so well and the environment is relaxing overall. I'm not one of those guys that enjoys face paced work (fast food restaurants / cashier) so yeah! I also wish you all the best on your flower adventure.. I hope that does turn out into something and make sure you post pics of your creations k?
It took me forever to gain enough courage to try the small eyed creature that the anxious waitress called Calamar, that day, but as it turns out - it's actually amazingggg (:
ReplyDeleteWhat you guys had looks just as tempting!!
