Into Reality

Zara Blazer | Taula Besty Top| Longchamp Bag | A&E Ripped  Jeans | Jacob  Trousers

So a couple of weeks ago, I had a wishlist of what my Work Wardrobe Wishlist was. And then a couple of days later, this wishlist became a reality - not much self-control there, eh?

Now to make up that Summer Wardrobe Wishlist

springu

Everyone has that piece in their closest, the no-fail, matches with everything piece. For me, I have been finding myself gravitating towards a certain piece for the past year. But don't worry, I do laundry regularly.
My that piece is my Talula Besty Blouse, and finally, with some warmer weather this past weekend (where is the sun now??), I paired it with a polka-dot skirt.

talula besty blouse | F21 skirt | Aldo flats

Honestly, I was quite hesitant in pairing the two together because I didn't know if it would work, but it did, and my love for this blouse just went up by 50 points.

And a side note, the Canucks won tonight, no sweep for you, LA Kings!

Work Clothes Wants

Work Wardrobe Wish

Look at the self-control that I have - only three items in a wishlist! Although the the items are titled primarily for work, who am I kidding? I'm going to be lazy and where them whenever I want.

And I swear I need that bag, I swear.

By the way, I just jumped on the Polyvore bandwagon (is there a bandwagon for it?) and I think I like it.

nomomom

If I had a top ten list of my faveourite things, one of them will most definitely be food. Food is amazing and awesome because it gives you energy and it's an infinite combination of things that will always result in a different flavour, look and smell. I love food so much that my friends have joked that if someone doesn't like food, I won't be friends with them (you think I may be joking, but I'm not. Seriously.). So, you wanna be friends with me?

Goals

Ever since the new year started (I know it's March already, don't judge!) I decided to hop on the resolution bandwagon. But, instead of making them year-long; I decided to make them month to month and calling them goals instead. Why? It just seems less daunting and more easily remembered this way. Besides, every time I see/hear the word goal, the first thing that comes to my mind is an epic hockey goal, "he shoots, he scores!", and the crowd going wild a la the golden goal. So, in my own weird logic, each time I complete a goal, the crowd goes wild for me. Like I said, don't judge me!

My Precioussssssssss
So my goals for the month of March are:

Limiting sugary drink intakes. Bubble tea and juice (Asian and Western) is a major weakness of mine; and I would drink one every day if I could, but all the sugar  then leads to cavities which means less money in my wallet because of dental fees.

Stay active: gym, dodgeball, and potentially swimming. Since I do pay for a gym pass, I might as well make the most out of the $44 then I pay them per month! So no more half-assing it two times a week, better make it at least three sister! And of course, still playing dodgeball, might as well go in with the mindset that I will kick ass and play my hardest each game.

Eat healthier! Try to be more conscious of what delicious food that I shove into my mouth. Because I would marry food if I could. Seriously.

Stop being such a judgmental girl. At times, I can be such a judgmental girl - it's not pretty. It's a waste of energy that be spent on more productive things.

My goals for March, hopefully I can score these and have the crowd roar behind me.

Bubble Tea Love

Sweets. Bubble Tea. One of my many indulgences, I love drinking bubble tea - with pearls, grass jelly, coconut jelly or mango stars. And yes, I know how much sugar the drinks hold (as my dentist likes to remind me during each visit); but as I'm getting older and "wiser", I'm beginning to grasp the concept of moderation when it comes to certain things. But, when you find drinks called Mango Mochi Bubble Tea and Orange Kit Kat Bubble Tea, well that sort of goes out the window doesn't it? Good thing that this place is in Richmond (not too far from where I live, but far enough to be a deterrent), or else, I would be there every week (or maybe every other day).

And if anyone wants to try out their drinks, the place is called Bubble Queen

why hello, long time no see

Almost a year has gone by since I last blogged; I had toyed with the idea of writing a post during the summer, but then I realized that what I wanted to write about did not fit with the original premise of this blog, "Food, Beauty and Everything In Between." And so I had to decide what direction I wanted this blog to go in - focusing on food and testing out products or something else. I know out in the blogosphere, there are many very well written and comprehensive blogs pertaining to the food scene in Vancouver, recipes and make-up and skincare reviews. I realized that although I love to eat, play with make-up and skincare; I don't have the most sensitive palette to discover minute flavourings, I'm not particularly skilled at blending make-up nor can I boost that my skin is at it's best right now. Rather, I want to shift away from focusing solely on the above things and just blog about everything and anything that strikes my fancy, hence the new premise, "a glimpse here, a glimpse there".

So I would like to welcome you to my "new" blog, I hope you enjoy your stay.
